Road traffic collision in West Dorset – witness and dashcam appeal

Officers are appealing for witnesses or anyone with dashcam footage to come forward following a collision in West Dorset.

The incident occurred at around 12.35pm on Sunday 20 September 2026 involving a silver Ford KA and a second vehicle that is described as similar to a dark-coloured Honda CR-V on the A35 dual carriageway near to Litton Cheney.

The Ford collided with the central reservation. The driver did not sustain any injuries.

The driver of the second vehicle stopped at the scene to check their vehicle but did not leave any details and drove off.

Police Constable Daniel Pidgeon, of West Dorset police, said: “I am appealing to any witnesses – or anyone who may have captured relevant dashcam footage – to please get in contact with us.

“I would also like to appeal to the driver of the Honda-style vehicle to come forward so we can take your account of what happened.”
